I'd be reluctant to just pay the overstay , although that's cheapest , you get a black mark as an overstay , I'd get the extension .

80 k US income , and your husband get both in , it's pretty good ..

For tourist Visa they pretty much always ask for this , just come in on the 45 days , it's buggar all diff and get the 30 day extension ..
