If you can find a newspaper that speaks the language that you write, good luck

i’m not sure what your point is. Are you blaming me because many Thais are still stranded abroad after 7-9 months And their government can’t get their act together to bring them back home?. And because I use a tourist visa dies not mean my home is not in Thailand.

I was pointed to the Thai Embassy in Swiss and it appears they will do it only for Swiss citizens. I would like to get confirmation at a few more embassies

In America, as a kid we used to say out of a Cracker Jack box because they always came with a cheap toy.

If I may speak succinctly and simply, South Korea has its shit together. Corruption and greed aren't the main players at the table, rather, problem solvers are. Thailand appears ruled by oligarchs - financial and military, perhaps even medical as well. This results in power grabs, and the refusal of the power groups to work together- most recently MFA and TAT. South Korea takes travelers rom 1 of the worst, if not worst, countries- USA and doesn't have a problem with them because of a 14 day quarantine, staffed largely by young military recruits. South Korea's economy is limping along, but is not devestated like Thailand, which is looking at 3-5 years to return to near normal, and rather than fix the problem, they spin out irrational plans that sputter and die- The Phuket fiasco, now the investment add-on to the elite visa, the STV program with its severe limitations. Hell, 6 months after closing the border they still haven't repatriated all the Thais..

Common sense? I live in a low-risk country, South Korea, but because I am American I can't use the STV.

Thailand has a class system. The lower class work outdoors and overtime their skin becomes darker. So having lighter skin indicates you are of a higher class.

I’m going to guess, that people trying to get in will still need to be from a low risk country.

If anybody in this form says you cannot apply for the retirement visa, I would not take it as gospel truth. You need to contact the embassy if you’re going to make a life-changing decision, not Facebook
