Do I need to apply for an e-visa for a 30-day tourist entry to Thailand from the USA?

I apologize if this has been asked before. I am returning to Thailand from USA in 2 weeks on a 30 day tourist visa. Do I need to fill out the e-visa online I found on the Los Angeles Thai Embassy website for a 30 day visa on arrival? Please, only replies from people who have entered Thailand recently. TIA

TLDR : Answer Summary
A US citizen planning to enter Thailand on a 30-day tourist visa can do so without needing to fill out an e-visa application. US passport holders can enter under the visa exemption policy, receiving 30 days upon arrival. It is advisable to have a vaccination certificate or a negative COVID-19 test taken within the last 72 hours. For those wishing to stay longer, both the tourist visa and visa exemption can be extended for an additional 30 days at immigration.

I just got all my documents uploaded online today applying for the 60 day tourist visa. Fingers crossed. So much simpler before covid. For the extra 30 days they really make you jump through some hoops

In the past used the Chicago consulate in which I mailed in my request with my passport. The turn around time then was 2 days. So I used them for this time for my online application. Same thing this time 2 days. . I arrived in CM today

it's 100 times easier to be able to do it all online sitting at your computer at home. And no more worrying about your passport getting lost in the mail.

If I have deciphered your post correctly.

You are entering on a 30 day visa exempt NOT a visa on arrival.

If you apply online for a tourist visa it would give you 60 days entry.

Both of these can be extended easily at immigration for 30 days, one time only.

US citizens don't need a visa. Just rock up and you'll be admitted for 30 days. You'll need either a vax certificate or a covid negative test conducted within the last 72 hours

A tourist visa gives you 60 days. Coming in on visa exempt gives you 30 days. Both extendable by a further 30 days

Might help if you say what passport you have.
