Why don't you get a tourist visa and check the place out for a month. If you don't like it then travel to another place to study.

Why is he doing a border run as if he doesn't have an METV? Get him a ticket and fly to another country for a couple of days and fly back. He'll need a mental and physical break from training. If he does a border run on a minibus, it would physically drain his body and brain. It's more expensive to fly and book a hotel, but it is worth it.

nothing non-sense about it. That 20k one time fee is the least of your worries. You better figure out the education and health care situation. It is not cheap if you want the best money can buy for your child.

you cannot put your child in regular Thai school. If you cannot afford the best western education, then I'd advise him to move to the west with his family. Remember, the average Thai salary is between 20-50k a month. If you don't send your child to the west for university then he/she will make that salary and you will be blamed.
