A child under 15 years of age can not be fined or deported for being on overstay, and a child under 18 years of age can not be deported and only fined 20K THB.
My opinion: Have the child enter on a tourist visa/ visa exempt/ or whatever valid visa, get the child's Thai passport, border bounce (by air only!) out of Thailand with the child and return on the Thai passport.
IF the person's passport is a visa exempt, and they didn't get any non-immigrant visas, then they can get another 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19
1. WAIT until around the middle of March, and see if they will extend the 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19. If they do, then apply for that OR;
2. On March 22rd, go to the immigration office and apply for another extension of stay. It will be rejected, and you will receive a 7 day extension of stay denied stamp. At most immigration offices, the extension of stay denied stamp begins on the date you apply for the stamp.
Yes you can. You'll have to apply for an in-country Non-O Visa based on being over 50 first, and then you can apply for a one year extension of stay based on retirement.
