Think very carefully about how I partially agree with you, but not on a macro level, but a micro level dealing just with Thailand, and not generalizing the rest of the world. Thailand protects what is Thailand. They do not want foreigners here that can not pay their bills, and at the level of financing that research show is what is generally needed with most medical emergencies, that a person's medical insurance doesn't cover because that person was breaking the rules of their insurance, like drinking alcohol when something happened to require medical care. In the news and social media you just see the serious cases and some GoFundMe campaign because insurance doesn't cover what happened, and more so in how it happened. A high enough number of those medium injuries, like broken limbs, and such, leave without paying. This became obvious when Thailand initiated approving an aditional bt300 entry fee, with basic insurance covering under bt40,000 out patient, and bt400,000 inpatient coverage, not because of all the 3rd world imagery of just trying to fleece more from tourists. That isn't the case at all. Those are the average size of the hospital bills tourists run out on, and never pay. Thailand offers very high level medical at some of the best prices in the world, so they are doing what they see fit so people staying here long term can pay if, and when something medical happens, because hospitals don't take monthly payments. Thailand basically says if you want to leave your country, and live here, then you do it their way, and at the economic levels they want. They have learned the hard way, as they always trusted people when they made rules, as that is what Thais do, but then they learned very fast how foreigners would break the trust, so from experience they set an economic level they feel is correct, in a manner that the money is available immediately. That's all Thailand cares about.
it's not that you couldn't switch. It is that in most cases you did not meet the financial requirements of the bt800,000 in your account for three months after getting your stamp, and then never letting the balance drop below bt400,000 for the rest of the year, as you don't have the bank book to prove it.
that is true in that respect, but this OP is looking at switching agencies, not doing it on his own after being with an agent because he can't meet the financial requirement. I've known people that ran into serious problems trying to do that. Can you help him at a cheaper price than he was quoted?
You'll have more problems trying to switch agents than you'd have just staying with who you used before. When you don't have the money agents get very protective not to lose you.
Basically if you can't handle where you are at, you can't handle anyplace else. Lost your job, and your wife left you. Seek professional help as that is your best option, and it isn't in Thailand. You mess up in Thailand and you end up in prison, and stay there until you can pay for your deportation expenses, which it sounds in your case, forever. If you can't handle where you're at, Thailand doesn't want you, and that is reality. Get out of the poor you attitude, and get professional help. You were fired for a reason, and your wife left you for a serious reason. Deal with those issues first, before you try to bring them to Thailand. That is reality, as Thailand doesn't put up with any BS. They simply arrest you.
Most airlines now do not allow service dogs in the cabin unless they are seeing eye dogs. Check with your airline, as they are the bottleneck in your plans.
with that kind of attitude no wonder it didn't work. What do you want to do, and what passport do you have, and how old are you? Without these details no one can help you. You want help then list your details, and what you want.
