When you checked in they noticed you had stayed past your original stamp but didnt see the extention of stay and informed immigration. Obviously when Immigration saw your extention everything was fine. Same thing has happened to me.

They never update their requirements. My mate came out at Xmas on the non imm O over 50, only needed £10k in the bank but needed 90 days insurance, I think you'll find the newer requirements on the evisa website

Thai baht for the visa. You can use Thai baht everywhere but you'll get change in kip. Ride from the bridge is only a couple of klicks
