, that would be better, but I am not holding my breath. I am hoping that there will be a vaccine available to the public by next year, or before, which should change a lot, but we shall see. Currently, I am travelling around the US in my travel trailer.
I have a wife and child there and still am waiting for things to calm down before going back. I have been living there 15 years, but refuse to pay the rediculous amount of money to go back. For me, it is about 7K US dollars and a pile of documents to be reunited with my Thai family again.
I am waiting until next year to try and go back to my family in Thailand. Hopefully by then there will be a vaccine and many of the hoops will be eliminated.
As I read all of these accounts of getting into Thailand, the more my decision to wait until next year makes sense to me. I fall into the category of being married to a Thai national and having a Thai son. Even though that is one of the acceptable groups that can apply to return, it sounds to me like Thai immigration is overwhelmed at the moment.
I have a Thai wife and son which makes me eligible for reentry, but there are still a lot of hoops to jump through. I have decided to wait until next year once things calm down and there might be a viable vaccine.
, you are absolutely right, but I think it will take a lot longer than 2-3 months for Thailand to get their act together. I am willing to wait until sometime next year to try and return.
My understanding is that spouses of Thai nationals qualify for entry, but only after several restrictions. I am one of those, but I am going to wait until next year before trying to return to my Thai family. Things are just too loosey goosey for me with regard to the Thai immigration changes and additions.
