No you don’t. You only need to show a return/onward flight within 8 months. We’ve had 2 back to back METV and showed return flight on application. First one was 5 months, 2nd one was just under 8. We book a flight out of Thailand for our 60 days last minute as we don’t know where we want to go.

No, no need to worry. We got ours from Hull. We are closer to London but Hull was sooooo much easier. No appt needed, all documents emailed and checked prior and you pick it up anytime. If you look at the criteria it says as long as you have a return/onward travel within 8 months. We are on our second back to back METV

I put the full period. You can put up to 8 months on a METV which is what we did

Email the consulate/embassy and ask them. I got a METV in the uk (I know it’s not Canada) Ours said as long as you have a flight booked out of Thailand within 8 months. It didn’t say anything about needing to show flight every 60 days. We’ve had 2 METV’s now with no problems. Our consulate were very quick to respond to emails. I think I even asked them that question.

we live 170 miles away in Suffolk but the consulate is so easy and you can email the paperwork for them to check. They got back to me within an hour. It’s so informal there and very helpful.

How long is she going for? We went to Hull consulate to get our 6 month metv. It is so quiet there. We literally got our visa in 10 mins today and fly tomorrow. No appt needed. If your daughter is getting a single entry 60 day visa it doesn’t start until you enter Thailand.

When we rented our condo in Phuket we could do it ourselves with a copy of the owners id and copy of house book but we also needed the owner to sign a power of attorney (only in Phuket apparently) She did it online in the end.

You could get asked at check in. We did on our 6 month METV. We are from the uk so return/onward travel was one of the requirements. I know this is not visa related but an interesting thing with our travel insurance too which I’m glad I read was that if you did not have a return flight booked you would not get repatriation to your home country.

We haven’t been asked to show 20k but we have it on us just in case. It can be in baht or equivalent ie from your country.

If you are coming to the end of 6 months you can leave and come back into Thailand before your visa expires. You will then be stamped back in for 60 days which you can then extend for 30 giving you 9 months in Thailand. This is how our UK METV works. Not sure if it is the same for US.
