On the London online application for METV, where it say's duration of stay. Would you put the first stint, say 59/60 days or can you put the full period of the METV? I guess they expecting you to leave after 60 0r 90 days with extention right?

TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for a METV online in London, you can input the full period of the visa, which can be up to 8 months, rather than just the initial 60 or 90 days. While the system recognizes the maximum stay allowed, it is not mandatory to specify the duration of stay as it's not marked as a required field. Many applicants have successfully put the entire visa duration without worrying about individual entry and exit dates.

Once you have selected Tourism and multiple entry the system knows how long your stay is allowed

the Embassy are not interested if you can or cannot get an extension. The visa is issued on 60 day entry's.

ok thanks mate , I will just put the first 60 then on this section. Was just worried they will see 60 and give me a SETV instead. Also mate, where it says "Need to prove a genuine reason to keep entering" is that just if you have many visas in your passport??

Duration of stay is not a must requirement as its not red starred. You put the date of arrival and a date 59 days later for your first visa run

I put the full period. You can put up to 8 months on a METV which is what we did

No, no need to worry. We got ours from Hull. We are closer to London but Hull was sooooo much easier. No appt needed, all documents emailed and checked prior and you pick it up anytime. If you look at the criteria it says as long as you have a return/onward travel within 8 months. We are on our second back to back METV

ok thanks. So I can put down the full visa length including extensions on the whole application. No need to worry about 60 and 90 day border outs and ins?
