Yes, that’s right. I asked the locals and they said it’s because of inflation.

But I think some people prefer to go to Vientiane since it only takes two nights to get the result of the non-B visa.

I had the same issue when I left Thailand for a year. But after I came back, I went to the SCB Bank and changed my mobile phone number and all went well. It's still working.
