it's strict but the benefits of the Visa are great, nothing like three 90s back-to-back in Thailand

That Visa is very strict and you have to follow the directions word for word. What I did was book a very cheap room ($5/day) directly with the hotel for the 90 days and then only stayed there part of the time

from experience if you're only going to stay one more month they will want to see one month of insurance and will stamp you for one more month, vice 3, on the day you go for the extension
