I'm within the first 90 days of arrival in Hua Hin on O-A visa. Have been to immigration for residence letters for bank account and registration of vehicle.

Question: Do I need a letter or report anywhere if I want to drive to Pattaya for the weekend?

TLDR : Answer Summary
If you hold an O-A visa and wish to drive to Pattaya for the weekend, you do not need any special letter or report to make the trip. However, if you stay at a hotel in Pattaya, they may need to file a TM30 report regarding your accommodation. When you return to Hua Hin, it is best to confirm with local immigration in Hua Hin if another TM30 report needs to be submitted after staying in a different city.

If you go and stay at Pattaya at a hotel, the hotel may file a TM30. When you return to Hua Hin, you may have to file another TM30. ASK Hua Hin (Blueport??) if a TM30 is required to be refiled after you stay at a hotel in another city.

At Hat Yai immigration you don't fill TM30 form any anymore. You just show the original ID card and house booklet of your landlord with your passport, they fill everything in their computer and print the receipt for you.

That's nice, but Hat Yai isn't Hun Hin 🙁
