You can send yourself the funds online using Western Union and similar services so you can get the cash in the one go, ATMs will charge you about 220 THB for every transaction plus money conversion fees also at your Australian bank end and ATM transactions are limited to a specific cap, depending on the bank you are using to withdraw cash from so you would have to do multiple withdrawals with multiple charges and some ATMs will flag multiple withdrawals and will either block and retain the card or simply put a hold on it until you contact your bank and explain that you are indeed in Thailand and that you are actually withdrawing funds yourself and it's all legit. The alternative would be to walk into a big branch and tell them you want to withdraw that much from your account overseas, I did it decades ago and there was no problem but things may have changed ...

Yes there are exchange houses (from the 2 major banks) just before immigration and outside after leaving customs and remember the taxi has now a surcharge of 50 baht on top of the meter as well as another surcharge for luggage which many drivers do not add but if they do just remember it is clearly written on the notice board where you get a ticket for the taxi and then it course the tollway fees for which you need to pay

It sounds as if you have bed bugs or dust mites in your bed or one of the towels you used was not cleaned properly. It is best you see a doctor as anything over the counter you may apply could cause further irritation or even permanent skin lesions, if it is shingles it just be treated within the first 24 hours so that it can be effective otherwise any treatment is less effective and takes much longer to be cured.
