Obviously none of the districts are applying the same rules, and there is no redress, it does say case by case in small print

The problems are for people not married and supporting a Thai family, now the Egyptian military case has it the fan, and no wealthy tourists are coming in, tomorrow will be another change of direction.

I came in on a 30 day tourist visa, and went to immigration, have to do the same for 90 day, changing later to a retirement visa, I’m married and have a house, and applying in our district immigration office helps as well .

It depends on how much pension money comes in each month, for every £1000 you exchange you lose a lot now

When I was in Pattaya the bar girls complained they only spent money on themselves, I reasoned they were in a there bar buying alcohol, not enough was the reply.

What are the requirements for applying for a Non-O visa in Thailand while on a family extension?

Wow this is getting dafter by the day, I put my money into my wife’s account, it’s used to pay all bills etc, what’s left goes into my account, not a direct transfer from UK, So having over 400,000 in my account counts for nothing.
