You need a long term visa to open a bank account these days and not a 60 day visa exempt entry stamp.

I have now heard that it must stay in the bank for 6 months after making a total of 10 months of the Bank having access to your funds.

Definitely something to be aware of with the current pole shift that's happening now and as the Andaman sea is in the 'ring of fire' then things could escalate but I wouldn't let it stop or spoil my vacation.

Unfortunately they don't take Crypto serious enough right now but either way it has to be in a Thai bank for 2 months before.

It's one of the safest Countries on the planet just don't get involved in things you wouldn't get involved with in your own Country and don't walk around flashing loads of 'Bling' there's lots of social gatherings to meet people too.

As many as you want as long as it's in the Bank not less than 3 months before you need it. Assuming you have a Thai partner if not then it's 800,000 baht.
