You can stay out of Thailand the rest of your life. The last day you could go back in on that visa is the date on your relevant entry stamp.

still a legal requirement for any host to submit a TM30 and liable for fines if they don't. If it's really a hotel it will have a business licence.

All the advice you have been given about getting the 30 day extension to avoid an overstay is correct.

In case you don't know the first day you arrive - even if it's after 11 pm - is day one (not day 0) so the 30 days is up on what you may otherwise count as day 29 of your holiday.

yes I worked through my 50s but most of these visa are conditional on the holder not working in Thailand.

As most of these visas are for over 50s making long stays without work there can't be a high percentage of people eligible who aren't also retired

Did not realise until I saw your post that TM30.io is unofficial.

The Immigration Office in Koh Samui had several signs advertising it.

I got mine with proof of accommodation for 1 month. I had booked 1 month at a single location.

The METV Visa allows you to enter multiple times for up tp 60 days each time( with 30 day extension possible) in the 6 month period. You can't stay continuously for 6 months but by taking short border bounces at the right time stay for almost 9 months.

Chase UK don't have foreign transaction charges and will give you 1% back on debit card purchases.

Still gets hit by the 220 baht local atm charge and some retailers still have the local 3% service charge.

Don't you need to deposit money into a Thai bank account as a requirement for a Retirement Visa?

@Steve ******
at which bank(s)? I've tried many in Chiang Mai and Koh Samui with my METV visa and all tell me I need at least a Non-O Visa.
