Best to have the 3 proofs in any case:

hotel booking for a few days & onward travel reservation within 45 days, & 20,000 thb or equivalent in $ Ā£ ā‚¬ in CASH is needed.

There isn't currently, nor ever was previously, any actual rule.

Seems a loose rule of thumb that is 180 days in 6 months using visa exempt entry might raise some eyebrows. šŸ™ƒ 555

Do those maths, mate.

Cheers

@Bonnie ********
Spellings off, I'm afraid:

Pedantic "Jyrki" (sic) he is, innit? šŸ™ƒ 555

Nong Khai to Laos is easy, me mate did it about 2 weeks ago; no issues on her border bounce after having stayed 89 days (60 day TR +30 extension in BKK)

45 visa exempt entry allowed with no fuss at all.

@Yunus ******
And what happened with that One Guy? Which entry point did he come back to? What happened? His cost to which agent? Etc please

If you're in BKK, after about 15-20 days into your 60 day TR you can apply for the extension, mate.

I understand your desire for the path of least resistance; but I wonder if any IO will concur with what's a work-around solution BEFORE it's done-- after all, you'll likely be in front of a different officer who'll have the discretion to approve or not / require the TM 30; accept that you're staying in some cheap hotel or such. šŸ™ƒ

Curious of the result if you have that conversation.

Cheers & good luck
