I’m a flight attendant /us citz been flying to Thailand 25 years for short stays each time until i got a retirement visa. It seems like they are after those that get extentions on visa exempt stays Even 10 days for 12 months is only 120 days. Seem flagged at 150 days.

My friend had the retirement visa for many years and recently switched it to a marriage visa by getting married to his thai gf after 25 years together. In essence as a pensioner requiring only 400k baht but the process is more involved and vetted for potential scam marriage. Multi entry permit needed with the retirement visa to come and go as needed per your question. Also alot depends on whether you have a thai bank account already and residence. Cant you just forgo the retirement visa and apply for the marriage visa ? Get an agent to assist you …the marriage visa is more involved literally 🫣☺️

what you read is frustration. My friend (ex airline captain) had his account blocked. Each time he went in with bs info they wanted they wanted more. He was polite and low key. Bkk bank were not. They treated him like 💩. So he went to KASIKORN . Easy and polite. Were you in the line watching his frustration? Arm chair farang criticizing others are the worst types.

should have listen to the girlfriend. Living in Thailand on your visa exemptions didn’t pan out and you knew that. Enjoy Laos
