When arriving into BKK on a 30 day tourist visa, what id the best way of extending it and how long can it be extended for?

Hi all. I have a couple of general visa related questions.

1) Am I correct in thinking it is possible to obtain more than two visa exemptions in a calendar year? If I use the two (more or less) guaranteed visa exemption allowances by land, can I still get a visa exemption by air in the same calendar year? At the immigration officers discretion of course.

2) With a British passport, where am I able to apply for a SETV in SE Asia? Which places are best recommended for this?

Hello! I'm headed to Hanoi to visit and get a SETV after my METV runs out. My plan to enter Thailand is actually by bus (possibly taxi) from Thakhek, Laos to Nakhon Phanom. I don't think I can prebook this bus trip so my question is, do I have to show the thai embassy in hanoi proof of entry or will my proof of departure be enough. Yes, I am allowed one more land entry.

My school is cancelling my wp as I am not renewing my contract with them, consequently making my extension of stay invalid. How to leave Thailand by overnight bus, leave through Thai border post near Mukdahan, apply for an SETV at 8am in Savannakhet, sleep one night and return the next day with the tourist Visa?

My concerns are as follows:

1. Can I get through the border with a letter from the school indicating termination? Labour requires the school to provide a letter indicating work permit cancellation, will this also suffice? Will the form, filled in and signed by the school, for cancellation of work permit suffice? AND how should the suitable document be dated? (timing is a real challenge here)

2. If the school dates the termination or cancellation as the 30th, will they allow me through at Mukdahan on the morning of the 29th, thereby cancelling my extension of stay?

3. Lastly, if all this pans out, can I apply for an SETV on the morning of the 29th, pick it up on the afternoon of the 30th and cross back into Thailand immediately thereafter?

(Even though my work permit is technically still active??)

Would having the school cancel my WP ANYTIME on the 29th solve any hiccups regarding timing? Can we somehow forward date this whole situation?

I am Australia and on a 30-day extension of stay after obtaining a SETV in Vientiane, Laos. The extension is about to expire, and I am about to apply a new SETV in KL, Malaysia (it has to be KL for personal reasons).

Prior to these visas/extensions, I have been on Non-B visa (and work permit) for many years, as I have been working and living in Thailand legally.

I have since stopped working in Thailand (work permit etc., cancelled), but want some extra time in Thailand to travel.

My question is that to apply SETV in KL, I have to show accommodation booking for the entire stay in Thailand (which I plan to be 90 days). But, I will be staying at my condo, for which I am on the lease.

On the official website, it says if I am staying at a friend or relative’s place, I have to show invitation letter and copy of their passport/ID Card.

But it doesn’t state what to do if I am staying at a condo of which I am on the lease. Maybe because a tourist shouldn't be on a lease?

Emails to the official email address go unanswered.

Can anybody advise me about what I need to show to meet the accommodation requirement for my situation?

Hi, I'm a U.S. citizen planning to travel to Thailand on a Visa Exemption and will probably apply for a 30-day extension once I'm there. I plan to travel around Thailand to multiple locations before applying for the extension. Do I need to make sure that the landlord/managers of each place I stay at complies with the TM30 reporting requirements and if they don't will that potentially jeopardize my ability to get an extension? Also, even though I'm a U.S. citizen I have permanent residence status in Mexico. My bank accounts are in Mexico, but my passport is from the US. If I leave Thailand and fly to Vietnam, will showing a bank balance from Mexico when applying for a SETV in Vietnam meet the requirements for getting a SETV before returning to Thailand even though my passport is issued from the US? Thanks in advance for any advice or help you can give.
