Well considering I never got a 60 day visa, I mean I’m in Vegas and used read that I’d have to go to nearest embassy in Los Angeles or mail my passport in, Has it changed or was I wrong

I was there for a little over four months because I was getting Covid extensed I don’t think they’re still a thing though

I’ve been there five to the last six years never used Visa

As an American your exempt so you get that 30 days and I’ve never heard of anyone turn down for an extra 30 days, just gotta pay a small fee And spend a half a day at immigration

30 day on arrival visa exempt and you can get a 30 day extension easy and you can leave whenever you want, you want longer than 60 up to 90, get visa 60 then get extension, things always change but no need for visa if 60 or less

Dont plan ahead do everything by ear

I’ve never done anything but one way and never been asked

But I’m sure like you said some people including yourself have been I guess it’s just all up to the agent at immigration

I’ve traveled five of the last six years always on a one-way ticket and never once have I ever been asked

now that doesn’t mean that you won’t be asked but it hasn’t happened to me

and if they tell me I need a return ticket I’ll tell them the truth I plan my vacations on the fly, I don’t know what country I want to go to next, Japan Vietnam Singapore Indonesia etc.

I did get my passport back today with the stamp and technically they just looked at my copies so I don’t even know if it was necessary

I brought copies they told me to sign it but then didn’t even take it and then they kept my passport and told me to come back tomorrow but I’m gonna bring the copies again just bring copies it doesn’t cost much

believe some (not many) immigration offices were closed yesterday due to Chinese New Year, That’s what I had read
