So I remember during Covid at the Jomtien immigration office having to come back days later for 30 day extension
I went there this morning got there 730 (open at 8:30) they sent me somewhere to validate I guess my hotel I don’t know why I’m just had to print out from them
but it was only an hour later at 9:30 AM when they put me back through the line again and they said to come back in two days
Had this backlog been going on for a while where they make you go back days later because earlier this year in Chiang Mai I was able to get an extension within a few hours and I’ve never heard of such a thing at Bangkok Immigration in the past, but this is the second time this has happened to me at Jomtien
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user describes their challenging experience with the Jomtien immigration office regarding a visa extension. Initially arriving before opening, they went through a lengthy validation process, ultimately being told to return multiple times, contrasting with much faster service at Chiang Mai earlier in the year. Comments highlight that Jomtien has unique rules not present in other offices and elaborate on a confusing ticketing and processing system that further delayed the extension.
