The point is if they close the thread it’s because it has been answered correctly. This keeps the original poster from getting further confusing information and it helps those who search not have to wade through the useless chit chat.

Sorry you are having issues with your visa. Contact one of the mods on the side and ask why, if reason was not given, your post is closed and ask further clarifying questions. These people are volunteers. They don’t have to answer any of our questions.

yes I could do an extension if I chose too. I’m usually out of country when it expires and when I am in Thailand it’s usually only 2-4 weeks. From what I’ve been seeing it’s not enough time to get the extension completed.

I was able to get Non O based on marriage 1 yr with multiple entries at my local embassy. Then you don’t have to worry about extension for a year. I’ve done it several times.

that’s how I’ve been getting my last two visas. Trying to become independent of her so once she actually shows up for the divorce it’s not an issue. Plus she complains about providing me with documents I need.

Ok. Thank you for responses. I will check with immigration when I return in a couple weeks. She gets annoyed providing the letter and other information. Also we haven’t lived together for quite some time. I’ll probably have to get visa based on retirement then do extension before the 90 days end.

What about finances. Will it be required to show the 800k or can I get visa with transfer option then extend with same financial proof?
