I have been reading a lot of content about visa processes and I find that there is too much variance, which inspired me to keep track of my experience and to share it with everyone -- my experience is so vastly different from whatever is on the website, which tells me I can't rely on information listed on their website as accurate or I'll be quite screwed trying to follow their process!
I inquired the VP about it but he told me “that’s not how it works, we do it this way”…..and what choice do I have other than to do as they say since they’re the ones who’ve been doing it for years? Argue and have them not give me the letter?
because……I didn’t know? Plus I’m at the HR’s mercy as they are the one to prepare the letter for me. And Thai people don’t seem to be very keen on taking instruction/advice from a farang like me.
they don’t want to spend any money/time in applying for a work permit I guess. Lots of expats willing to work illegally in Thailand, lots of companies banking on that!
Hi, if they've already applied, the labour department will give them a letter (of acknowledgement, aka WP3) that you can use to get your non-b visa along with other documents.
