TLDR : Answer Summary
You can extend your stay in Thailand by applying for a 30-day extension at any immigration office. The cost is 1,900 THB, and it's advisable to apply no more than 12 days before your current stamp expires. Make sure to have your paperwork ready, including proof of where you are staying. If you want a longer stay, consider applying for a 60-day tourist visa from your home country, which can also be extended for an additional 30 days.

are you a Philippine citizen? Then you get the visa for ASEAN countries. Check the internet how this affects your stay and the possibilities of extending it

Get the Non-O before you arrive and you'll be stamped in for 90 days to concentrate just on your 12 month extension

Get a 60 days tourist visa, apply from home ( thaievisa.go.th ), can be extented 30 days.

Cheaper than a extension,

no need for onward ticket within 30 days

No waste of holiday time on finding, go to, and waiting at a Immigration office.

Is the recommended way to do it by Thailand authorities

Don’t go too early, no more than 12 days before the stamp in your passport runs out. Make sure you have all your paperwork in order and go early, in Samui they opened at 08.30

the fee is 1,900THB and possible fee for PP current picture. They take there. Fill out paperwork, be prepared with. Tm30 ( where you are staying) landlord, hotel etc should have submitted that for you. PP and ID where you live in your country. Many in the office speak English. If you need help ask.
