The point I'm making is that with a non-O there is zero requirement to ever the leave the country. They're called "non-immigrant" visas, and can be extended indefinitely. The DTV has a 360 day limit before the holder is required to leave the country, and at the end of five years the visa expires, and it is necessary then to apply for a new visa outside the country. Non-O visa has none of those requirements.
