no advantage it was right for me at the time. I will be switching to O visa next year as I intend living in Thailand. You can own condo and cars, bike etc with DTV. I also have a bank account but I do own a Condo and car in my name.

yes it was relatively easy, they asked for tax return after I completed information online at the London Thai embassy. I sent the same day. Whole process start to finish 10 days.

I got DTV for my UK rentals, I'm also retired. Took 10 days to get approved. Had to send tax return to the Thai embassy

Can I extend my 60-day visa exemption in Thailand for another 30 days given the new rules?

first 60 stamp extend 30 days. Leave country for few days return and get 60 days which can be extended for 7 days. If leaving on visa run don't return same day, people have been refused entry

I always hand over printed copy of TDAC, DTV certificate. Passport and flight boarding pass, never been asked a question yet. Straight through every time.

as many are finding out this year. Accounts still being frozen and closed, one of the reasons is they didn't have own money in their account to get visa.

You will need to deposit 800,000 for the first year, no more agent BS. Times have moved on.

which bank?? Lloyds and Santander send from online account. I had to go into bank for the first transfer, after that online.
