Being a Thai I can’t say much about visa but as a Thai living in The USA for most of my career life, I think you’d be fine living in Thailand.

I go from CA to PA, FL and now TX. The way of life in Thailand is much smoother/enjoyable .

With proper visas you’d do just fine there.

I’m planning on retiring with 2-3 years or sooner.

Realistically, how would a foreigner surviving in Thailand without that requirement amount? Sadly; the funds can withdraw thereafter. I am a Thai person, I will not and unwilling to live there with that amount, even though I have my houses fully paid for.

Thai government need to do better on weeding out disqualified foreigners/applicants .

Thai passport holders having difficulties getting visa to many countries including the UK and The USA.

Work history and income verification , travel history and the tide to Thailand are the crucial factors.

In my younger years, I am among not many Thais that granted visas to every country I wanted to visit. I’ve got my own real estates and assets, single mom in my late twenties which seem to be a big red flag but it’s not an issue for me.

I travel all over long before Ive got the employment base visa and granted Citizenship thereafter.

SCB new product. Got mine upon the recent trip about 3 weeks ago. Finally, I’ve been asking for it. Every thing is on-line with monthly sms messages for bank statements. Coming from The USA where we do not know of the passbook this feel at home. 🥰

Ive just paid $130 plus posted service for passport renewal here in Thailand. Whilst it’s $88 if I’d have it done in The USA. Trying to understand why cost more here, logically!?
