Tickets to Thailand is 3 times of the tickets to Spain from America, 17 hours vs 10 hours, why? Looks like only Turkish airlines fly to Thailand

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around the perceived high cost and longer duration of flights to Thailand compared to Spain from the USA. Participants emphasize various factors impacting flight pricing, such as distance, demand, and available airlines, with suggestions for alternatives and reminders that many carriers service routes to Thailand. Opinions vary, with some advocating for the beauty of Thailand relative to Europe, while others question the costs involved.

From the west coast, try Starlux or EVA air. Flights directly to Chiang Mai via Taipei.

You are constantly posting and commenting comparing how Thailand is worse than other international destinations. What's the point, you should go those places instead. You are also frequently wrong about whatever you claim in your post, and being corrected. Just like this post where you claim Turkish is the only airline flying to Thailand. It's almost like you're being paid to badmouth Thailand since all you do is say how bad it is or how its policies make no sense.

Tip, because I fly Thailand-U.S. 3-4 times a year… fly Philippine Airlines to/from NY or Seattle, you can often get round trip tickets for under $600, depending on your travel dates.

Nearly every post you have made in this group is complaining about cost of something. I mean this in the most respectful way possible but if you are truely counting every dollar, and everything seems to expensive for you here for example cost of flights, cost of visa etc etc… maybe you should consider just residing in your home country. At least until you’re in the financial position to live where you would like, how you like

Jack Wilbur hahahahaha and???? Codeshare flights are perfectly fine. From a consumer perspective there is no discernable difference.

Some additional facts for you - besides Turkish Air, EVA, Starlux, China Air, Asiana, Cathay Pacific, Qatar, and others all have flights from USA to Thailand (without codeshare), one layover. Same as Turkish Air.

Stop calling people "boy" unless you're trying to be rude and troll. You add zero positive value to the conversation with this attitude and communication.

Only Turkish airlines fly to Thailand!!! Boy oh boy !🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Look like someone needs to wider his narrow minded, limited knowledge regarding the World outside his own limited life experience.

I have been flying back and forth for over 30 years now, never once fly with the mentioned airline nor I’d considered it.

Checking back his previous post, it’s all about EU but posted on Thailand related group! You seriously need to see a shrink! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Why troll in a Facebook Group with a focus on Thai Visa topics?

However, to answer your question, a suggestion to look at a map, atlas, or globe would easily answer why a flight from USA to Europe would be shorter than a flight from USA to Thailand.

Also, United Airlines (UA) has flown and will fly again to Bangkok

thank you for clarifying your comment about Delta flying to Bangkok Non-Stop which was not mentioned until I showed the Delta Airline website information. Just as an added note there are many airlines that travel to Bangkok with stopovers pretty much all year round and in addition some Airlines of those do have non-stop flights part of the year probably during High season. I am however not sure if this is the case with Delta Airlines

5555.... I live here too. I really like adopting the Thai people's way of communicating in a non-confrontational manner. An added point of interest for USA. The FAA upgraded Thailand's status from Level 2 to level 1 in February which is a precursor for non-stop flights in the future between USA and Thailand. Enjoy your stay here🙏

I don't know where your head is at with some of these comments you are making I absolutely hate Trump and what he's doing to the world. Your assumption of the rest of the world thinks the way that you do is absolutely ludicrous and even more ludicrous believing that you are always right I merely made the suggestion that it is a possibility to have non-stop flights with Delta Air in the future because of the upgrade from FAA in Thailand international airports. I think you are a very rude and conceited individual exactly the type of individual is not fit into the life in Thailand. I will have no more conversation with you because of there is no point in talking to someone who has a very close mind it is beyond me how you are a top contributor with an attitude such as yours. You would do well adopt some of the tie away interacting with other people. We're done

there is a short layover in Seoul and then on to Bangkok. Information was taken off the Delta Airline website. There is also a two stop layover LAX Seattle Seoul and then on to BKK. They all have the DL prefix in the flight number indicating Delta Airlines they may be operated by a third party airline that it is all Delta Airline flight numbers and these were taken from the Delta Airline website.
