Rental; even you were not mentioned but referred to other’s comments. Most if not all renters are offering any length of time rentals. Daily, weekly, monthly and annually. Serviced apartments are also good choices when it comes to renting and there are all over BKK, at very convenient locations too.

I’m a Thai-American, live and work here in The States and traveling back to Thailand frequently, serviced apartments are my choices.

My personal experience; I took my US DL to the Thai DMV and got a 10 years Thai DL without any test or training but vision check as I am wearing contacts lenses, along with the health certificate.

I am a Thai-American have seen many of my Americans friends and families do it by themselves without any hassle. It’s transparent process , no need of agent. Just an FYI.

Many mentioned minimum wage but in reality it’s expected more; at least what I’ve been paying.

My home is located in Udonthani; a much larger city (but in a different region) My maid is 500-700 bath per day with free lunch/snacks and drinks. The gardeners are project-by-project pay. Given that my home is situated on a 2 +Rai of land my gardeners get paid as much as over 7,000 per project. Some doubled!

I was unable to find someone that willing to accept the minimum wage.

Every city, country has it own positives and negatives; Thailand is not an exception.

Supporting the above poster regarding the “paradise “ I am a Thai; living in The USA most of my adult life, returned to Thailand for 7 years and now I recently relocated back to The USA.
