I’m on the extension. I was under the impression that they could cancel it at anytime. I resigned and gave my written resignation as per the contract. My resignation date is august 31st. So what day would I enter overstay? My employer is giving me a signed resignation letter stating I resigned on August 31st if that makes a difference. This is supposed to be used by my new school for the transfer.

yeah to clarify I’m on the extension. My new school wants to do a transfer but from what I understand it requires both schools to cooperate which I don’t think will happen. So I can go alone without assistance from my current school to cancel work permit and extension at immigration? Are these done at the same time or separately?

oh I see it depends on when I get the salary then? Not when I worked the days.

no hesitation. Just spent my stay moving around a lot to be honest. Also wasn’t aware hotels were registering these for me.

Good info. I appreciate it. That work around is interesting. So the tm30 is just basically proof of current address? If I use the cheap hotel method they won’t inquire about where I’ve been the rest of my stay?
