It’s happened to me 3 times on arrival so I always check my stamp now before leaving the desk 😬

no, you absolutely cannot correct it yourself. Do you have access to the immigration database/somewhere where everything is logged?

Sometimes they will still want a “real” one. But you can take that screenshot and they’ll write one out for you. (At least in Chiang Mai)

fair enough. It was very lovely when I went. Just some old Thai man in what seemed like his house sorting his garden when I turned up. Only me there! Easiest tourist visa ever

Yes ignore it and do it in April, the main computer would then be updated. It’s not exactly well linked up in my experience!

You might need to go in person the first time though, and then should be able to do online again after that.

Not Chilean, but the same happen to me. Got 30 day stamp instead of 60 days with a pre-bought tourist visa. Happened twice, once I noticed it at the immigration booth and corrected it there and then, once I forgot to check and had to go to immigration to get the stamp updated. They just hand-wrote the new date. All very easy and I get the impression it happens quite a lot, but records should be up to date digitally.

strange. I had heard so much about it needing to be coming from overseas, needing that special code showing on your book bank etc... Good to know 🙂

was this ever a requirement? I thought it was, lots of people posting here think it is... maybe we've all been confused and are thinking of the retirement visa?
