Last week my wife went to the Chantaburi passport office to renew her Thai passport and change to her married name. She received the new passport 5 days later.

Do I need a return ticket when applying for a Non-O visa in Thailand?

I was in the same boat as you are in now about 6 weeks ago but from the US and wasn’t quite sure what to do.

I purchased two one ways the second being refundable.

I was never asked to show a return ticket by anyone not the airlines nor immigration.

I will keep an address in the US. As many of you have pointed out it will make everything much easier.

I have been commuting back and forth for the last decade. Now only one home!

I finished everything sent my application in yesterday. Got my visa already! Approved in only 26 hours!! Quite amazing.
