I used an agent in Phuket that was great. Got 2 visa for my girlfriend to France which is Schengen Space. You can also do the application yourself for I recommend an agent for this one.

Find a Thai that you are close to who you can send wise to and they will give you cash. I have done this after getting tired of the ATM cost and until I got a bank account. I did this for one year with no issue.

Less likely for your phone to stop working than losing a piece of paper. Sure, if you say this a rule. There was nothing on my embassy page and on my approval notes. Thaï are an advanced phone culture, so I go with the culture, not with my western ways.

The agent looked at my phone for 3 sec and stamped my passport. No question. Thai use their phone a lot more than us for daily life. Don't bother printing.

If you read my previous posts, I do not recommend doing so. I would never tell something to do it while in Thailand. I have immigrated to Canada and I understand the complexity of immigration and all the rules. However, sometimes people have very special circumstances and they need to find solution that can bypass the system without hurting anybody or stealing from the host country. In my case, my law firm that I deal with for other matter and that has been successful for me offered to do it while I was in Thailand but I ended up going back to Canada and got it in 3 days.

You are right but you are bringing your western point of view and we were raised with those dogmas in our head. There are many grey areas in those systems. But best not discuss it here.
