Flying into Thailand is the email of visa sufficient or so you need to print it out? Did a search here but couldn’t find a definite answer.

TLDR : Answer Summary
When arriving in Thailand, it is generally recommended to print your e-visa. Several users mentioned that while it is possible to show the visa on your phone, printing it can prevent issues with immigration officers who may prefer physical copies. The e-visa system suggests printing the visa, and having a printed version can expedite the process and avoid misunderstandings at immigration. However, experiences vary, with some indicating that they successfully presented their e-visa on a phone without any problems.

The nice hotel printed for me, better than wandering around ho chi min 😅

The agent looked at my phone for 3 sec and stamped my passport. No question. Thai use their phone a lot more than us for daily life. Don't bother printing.

visa has to be printed, that’s rule. Don’t rely on agent mood. stick to the rule. Also what if you loose your phone / stops working.

Less likely for your phone to stop working than losing a piece of paper. Sure, if you say this a rule. There was nothing on my embassy page and on my approval notes. Thaï are an advanced phone culture, so I go with the culture, not with my western ways.

Then you just did not read very well, it has nothing to do with a different page for a different embassy. The initial pop-up where you acknowledge says you should print it out. This is before you make any choice of country or embassy, and you have to click to continue, but some people just click anything without reading.

And an advanced phone culture? No idea what you mean with that, but Thai can not use a phone for many thing western people can.

It says that you should print it out or must print it out ? Let me know and I'll acknowledge my mistake.

Regarding phone, if you have lived long enough in Thailand, you should know that they use their phone more frequently than westerners and QR culture is much more developed there. They can for example withdraw money just with there phone and no bank card, something that has barely started in the West.

Print it, it does actually say you should print, and you only need to come across an IO having a bad day and he could simply stamp as tourist as you don’t actually have the visa.

That’s my opinion anyway.

And check its 180 days before leaving the booth, they do make mistakes 😉

Print is easiest, saves having to hand your phone over to the immigration officer. The e-visa system has a pop up that tells you to print the visa to hand to immigration but people have been successfull showing it on the phone. Either way, you need to make the IO aware you have a DTV and check your dates before you leave to make sure you got 180 days.
