When I initially applied for the DTV visa, I was in my home country. After weeks of going back and forth submitting some documents, the date of my flight was due and I decided to just go to Thailand and get a tourist visa on arrival.

It’s been 2 months and the initial DTV visa application is still open. I was in Thailand on a tourist visa all that while. I left Thailand few days ago and flew to Indonesia.

I attempted to submit more documents into that original avtive DTV application while being in Indonesia, but now they are asking for a flight ticket from my home country to Thailand. But I had already left my home country -> Thailand and now I’m in Indonesia.

The question is, do I need to be in my home country when applying for a DTV visa? Does it matter if I send them a flight ticket from Indonesia to Thailand?

I was planning on returning to SA from Indonesia. But today my flight was cancelled by Emirates due to the new variant. I now have the option of staying in Bali or potentially going to Thailand. I do not have a lot of time to research as I need to get a new Indo visa soon. I would prefer to go to Thailand to escape the Indo rainy season and I've always wanted to spend time in Thailand. I just can't quite work out the current visa system, when I try to apply on the E-visa site, it tells me that I am not illegible for the electronic application but I can apply through an embassy. If I am using a UK passport and my current residence is Indo, then why might this be the case? Should I apply through the embassy or an agent? How long does visa processing typically take these days? And am I guaranteed to get a visa if I go through a trusted agent?

I am planning to travel from Bali to Thailand in early September. I belive that it is not possible to do the sandbox from Indonesia at the moment, but I can travel if I quarantine for 14 days in BKK. Can someone please confirm that this is correct?
