If you get a 60 day visa online you don't need a return ticket. I've done many times, one way on a visa. If you turn up without a visa, you may get stopped at the airport on a one way ticket. Way round it, if you are stopped book a train ticket thats what a mate of mine does, whenever he gets stopped with no return, buys a cheap ticket Cambodia

They are they gave you a discount based on 3 months so they are out of pocket. And the other 8 rooms could have been someone else booking and not showing up. Who knows, but fact is you booked 3 months and defaulted so there in there rights to keep your deposit. Has for the TM30 loads of places don't register or don't understand it and it's not massively enforced. I would just forget about it and move on your on to a loser. What visa you on I'm sure when I did mine I got a form from immigration about where I'm staying. Good luck with driving test it's so easy its stupidly hard 🤣😅

The hotel owner will have blocked that room off for 3 months for you and probably your freind didn't explain correctly the possibly bit. Has for tm30 didn't they say they could write you something on headed paper I'm pretty sure that's enough for a licence.

Immigration won't care, police won't care. They will tell you to get a lawyer, who will care for a few hundred thousand, but you won't win. A deposit on what sounds like a dive can't be that much, put it down to experience and move on. Even if you stayed the 3 months been a model Tennant, there would have been an excuse keep the deposit, but you booked for 3 months and defaulted always check terms of contracts. Also the hotel owner blocked that room for you for 3 months they would be out if pocket you just cancelling

Get non o easier to get and you can still get a work permit. Not hard you no need an agent, you can apply for non o from your country get 90 days which then you can extend. Work permits easy just get your missus go the labour office there helpful.

I used go Hong Kong first get the visa there, easy process and have couple of nights in hk

I finally found the answer had to pay uk visa and immigration a couple of quid Wahid and mohamed answered me

Yes wife recently bought one before she passed her test, also my car is in her name and she got it insured first time

Thanks appreciated , I have done the wife's a few times just had her mother and her freind over uk aswell so I'm up to speed on doing visas. I just think I read somewhere you can't do a visa within 6 months of one expiring but not sure if it applies to her having uk residence. 🤔
