TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking guidance on moving to Thailand to work at their wife's business and set up a restaurant. They need clarity on visa requirements, particularly the Non-B visa versus the Non-O marriage visa, which allows for obtaining a work permit. The conversation clarifies that being married in the US is valid for obtaining a marriage-related Non-O visa in Thailand, which can lead to a work permit, and emphasizes the importance of verifying marriage documentation.

Just get a Non O .. if you are married anywhere in the world and have your certificate.. get it verified at your country embassy in Thailand, you may also need a translated thai version of it.
Get non o easier to get and you can still get a work permit. Not hard you no need an agent, you can apply for non o from your country get 90 days which then you can extend. Work permits easy just get your missus go the labour office there helpful.
If you are married the non-o spouse visa allows you to work but you still need a work permit. But many occupations are reserved for Thai workers particularly around the food industry. You may be able to get one as a manager but you can't serve, clean, cook unless you're a mega chef and so on
