I had an onward flight, Singapore air asked if I had one, but didn’t ask to see it. My friend flew with Turkish air and was made to purchase an onward flight online before he was allowed to fly, it’s all a bit hit and miss, but better to have some form of cheap onward travel, even if you don’t intend to use it.
I came through BKK 3 weeks ago, a kind young member of staff opened the gate to the priority gate and ushered me in, I am 75, just didn't think I looked it. 😆
I arrived 10 days ago, at UK airport Singapore air asked if hade an onward ticket, which I had, but politely declined my offer to show them, at BKK the IO politely asked how long I was staying, but didn’t ask for proof, my last exit stamp was March 2024, she did ask me if I had friends in Thailand, which seemed a random question, but smiled when I confirmed I had several friends in Thailand. I hope it will be as easy on return as I will be flying to Vietnam for a couple of days
no I haven’t ever needed to, but my research showed that they are reliable, so I’ve used them for a few years, hopefully I’ll never need to make a claim 😊
