Hi all. I am on a 90 day non-B visa. Every 90 days I have to leave the country and reapply for a new visa at a Thai consultant\embassy. For some reason the foundation I work for doesn’t qualify for a one year, multiple entry work visas anymore. They change that for us this year.
I was told by the Thai Embassy in Vientiane and Penang that they are no longer issuing M entry, non-B, one year visas. However, it’s very possible that because I work for a foundation, I can no longer qualify for one. Overall, those visas, for US citizens, are getting harder to get.
Hi there! I’m on a non B visa. You apply at the embassy and then go back the next day for your visa. Go early! Some embassy’s only process so many visas each day. Not sure about KL though. Do you work in Thailand and is your employer apply for the visa for you?
Getting Visas here has become more difficult this year. I live and work in Thailand and I am only allowed to stay 90 days a time. I have to leave the country and apply for a new visa every time. A lot of the 1 year Visas don’t exist anymore. Your probably better off apply for a 60 or 90 day tourist visa and doing a couple visa runs. You’d probably be able to stay at least 6 months without any hassle from immigration. I know a lot of people that volunteer and that’s how they do it.
What kind of visa are you applying for next? Another tourist visa? I was just in Vientiane two months ago for a non B visa. Super easy process there! Embassy had moved temporarily to Singapore business college so look into that before you go. I got there a

hour before they opened and there where 140 people in front of me. Everything went pretty quickly and was easy.
Hi all! Thanks for all your help! I’m on a non-B Visa, return to Thailand on a re-entry stamp. I have years left on my passport but only one page left. I’m from the US but won’t have enough time to apply for a new passport. From what I found it can not be expedited any faster than 2-3 weeks. I won’t be in the US that long. When I get back I’ll apply for a new one from the US embassy in Bangkok. That’s my plan anyway!
