I am about to apply for ED visa in Vientiane or Savanaket. I will get the paper from my school and according to it, I will be a students in a Thai school for about 8month or so.

Will they ask for a returning ticket?

Will they ask for 20 000?

Or, is for ED visa they are more willing or less strict I should say?

Please note that they require a bank statement at Savanaket to get a tourist visa.Showing them 20,000 baht in Cash is not good enough.I just got rejected and have to go back on Tuesday.Monday the embassy is closed by the way, it is Buddha day.

Hi guys! What is an actual benefit of getting one year multiple entry marriage visa in Savanaket over one year extension of stay in local immigration office and multiple re-entry permit?

Just a quick review of my trip to Savanaket to get me marriage visa. I was on 30 days stamp but it was in my old passport, at the border they transferred it to my new passport and I was off to Laos. Turned up at Thai consulate about 8am, went across the street and paid the guy 100b to fill in my visa aplication, have a coffee and chill. The consulate opened at 9, I was 5th in a queue. Documents required are: copy of your marriage certificate, original ducument of your marriage certificate (they just want to look at it), copy of your spouse ID front and back, signed, copy of house book with you spouse name in it signed, passport and 5k for multiple entry visa. CHECK THESE PAPERS BEFORE YOU GO TO GET A VISA. Guy in front of me didn't and he found out that he didn't have a copy of his wife's ID but driving licence. Bad luck. Anyway, picked up my passport next day at 2pm and I was off. At the border had a chat with friendly immigration lady, she stamped me for 90 days and that was it.

Tourist visa extension ends 16th. Need Laos trip. Which one should I take

Hey. Tomorrow i ride my motorbike from Buriram to Vientiane for yet another 2 month tourist visa. Anyone know when the last call is at the immigration office? the goal is to make a 2 day journey ? knowledgeable advice is appreciated
