Maybe you can try to see if it would be possible to send someone on your behalf with a letter of attorney empowering the said person to obtain a replacement and then send it to wherever you are.

you should be prepared to be throughly checked at the thai airport upon arrival.

Regardless of what others tell you, you don’t won’t want to be the unlucky chap stuck at immigration with language and cultural differences and lacking experience dealing with thai authorities.

for check-in no actual limit, if you exceed your allocated weight allowance they will charge you accordingly

Maybe try fly to Cambodia / lao before going back to Europe
