Can anyone confirm if Thai Airways allows cardboard boxes as checked baggage on international flights? I can’t seem to find the answer online.

Answer summary

Users confirm that Thai Airways allows cardboard boxes as checked baggage on international flights as long as they meet weight and size restrictions and are securely closed and labeled. Some suggest getting them wrapped at the airport for added security.

If empty, then the boxes will be completing fine.

If filled with explosive devices, then there could be a problem.

They do not care as long as it is within weight and size restrictions and is securely closed.

Yes but must be securely taped closed and labeled. For extra security I’d personally get them wrapped at the airport!
