Recently arrived in Thailand on a 90-day Non-immigrant "O" visa (married to Thai national, US passport ). My wife's employer here told me I need to have 400,000 baht in a Thai bank for at least 2 months in order to request visa extension of up to a year. I have seen others on this page refer to an 800,000 baht bank requirement. Is it 400k or 800k?

I am new at this.

Thanks.

I tried searching on the group, but couldn't find the answer I need. I have a Non O based on marriage, and a WP. I've lost my job, so what takes precedent, my visa or the WP?

Hello everyone,

I would like to know if I can apply for a non-inmigrant O marriage visa at any thai embassy in Asia (the first one, 3 months length) or only some embassies do it.

If the second option, how can I know which do and which don’t?

I have 2 friends who got them in Taiwan and Hong Kong and I would like to consider others if possible.

Ok proof they are still doing multiple entry 1 year non O at Savanakhet

Couple of queries i asked today from questions yesterday.

Overseas bank accounts ok at moment. (He did say that may change)

Needs to be 3 months worth of accounts and has to be no older than 1 week.

Someone else asked about Wifes ID and passport. They said no problem just ID if never been issued passport.

Good morning. I recently applied for a Non-Immigrant O visa online based on married to a thai citizen. I got my visa approved yesterday by the consulate in Munich, Germany. However, the length of stay is only 90 days. I thought it would be a year. During the application process there was no information about the length of stay, just “more than 60 days”. What am I missing? I wanted a year of course.

[Bangkok]

Is it possible to apply online for 1-year extension based on marriage to Thai national?

[members only]

**2.19 Family member of a Thai residence (Non-Immigrant)

**7. Residence certificate and alien registration certificate of the alien granted residence permit in Thailand.

I don't have this one, never needed it for this extension.

So do I (and my wife) need to go apply in person at Chaengwattana?

Thank you!

NON-O Married to Thai yearly extension lump sum banking method (please confirm steps) CW Immigration

As my date of lump sum deposit approached, please confirm the steps:

1. Deposit a little over 400k and update passbook on 21 December 2022. Should I get bank letter at this point or not?

2. Wait Seasoning, which will be 11 days in December, 31 day in January, 28 days in February, so I will have 70 calendar days in

total before application

3. Apply for extension on 1 March 2023 with usual set of documents, updated passbook and bank letter.

4. On the day of appointment to get final stamp, update passbook again (deposit any small amount to reflect funds still on account)

Thanks.

My current one year extension (married to Thai) together with multiple re-entry permit will expire 26 Sept. Applied renewal today at Chaengwattana and got "under consideration" stamp with date to report back on 27 Sept. (yes, only 21 days to wait instead of 30 days).

My question is about re-entry.

As I have overseas trip planned for 12. Sep to 23 Sep I proceeded to apply single re-entry and was told I'm not going to need one because I will be back before 26 Sept meaning my old extension and the multi re-entry is still valid.

I questioned the officer and she went and checked with the boss and said no worries, just come back before 26. Sept.

Is this correct or should I expect the usual confusion and issues upon flying back in on 23rd?

Thanks in advance.

Hi everybody.

Before writing the post I searched if there was a similar one but I didn't find a definitive answer to my question. I currently have a "covid visa' which expires on March 17th. Before i had an ED visa so i cannot renew the covid visa. Now I am married to a thai national and i was wondering if it was possible to get some visa, such as visiting thai family or non O visa due to marriage, without leaving the country. Thank you for any replies

Hi everyone -

I have question regarding the TM30. My company already cancel my visa and work permit but I got another buffer extension for 21 days (due to BOI). Before this expired, Im going to apply for covid extension but I planning to move from Bangkok to my mother in law's house in Udon Thani. If I register myself using her address in Udon Thani for the TM30, can I apply the extension in Bangkok before I move out? Or does it need to be in the same city/province as my TM30 registered?
