I have I hyphenated first name and they separated it as 1st and middle name on my visa, I got through customs the other day just fine

 the cover letter and appointment were all in one, my husband's sponsor letter was added later when they asked for it as it only allows one document per section and I'm not tech savvy and don't know how to combine into one
