got ya - yea i think Im going to go for the soft power visa because it seems like theyre stricter on the workcation dtv and ask for more and more documents.

no worries.i was genuinely asking bc my knee jerk reaction is to want to open account there as well. But then Ive seen a lot of people saying its not necessary so Im like if I can get by with using my US account then I wont bother but if it makes paying for things easier with a thai account then Id want that option if its available

ok I see the requirements are changing rapidly. I saw someone said they only had the 500k baht in their account the last month and they got approved. I'll be applying from LA so I'm hoping 3 months is what they require lol

I heard that even though they may request the 6 mos of statements the 500k baht only needs to be in the account for the last 3 months

Were they asking to make sure you had that for the 6 months?

I heard immigration is asking for proof of 500k baht and or your soft power registration upon re-entry. Not often but its a possibility and you can get turned away if you dont have it

What muay thai gym? Did they help you with the application? If so what was the total cost with membership?

Ive seen a few people say they may ask you to show your current bank balance on hand.
