I am waiting my DTV visa in Cambodia,

Waiting for more than 25 days already and

got requested several more documents,

I had applied on May 25, I saw several rejected as well after documents requested.

How can I complain this to whom ?

Long waiting and not responsive.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is experiencing significant delays in receiving their DTV visa after applying in Cambodia over 25 days ago. They are frustrated with the lack of responsiveness and the need for additional document requests. The community has mixed responses about the ability to complain or seek resolution, suggesting that the processing delays could be related to diplomatic issues, and some recommend alternatives like visiting other countries while waiting.

I have a friend who waited for 45 days. But you don't have to wait in Cambodia, you can go to other countries.

bad advice. You are to stay in the country where you made an application until the decision is known.

I have the same problem.. I've been waiting 3 weeks already. On the embassy website says the processing time is 10 working days.. Nobody has answered my email..

I’m just gonna be the one to say why did you apply in Cambodia when they were having problems?
Aurélie *********
I'm about to apply there too. Can I ask you what additional documents they asked for?

@Aurélie ********
per this thread it does not seem to be recommended...

Complaining is the last thing you want to be doing.

I would say that's bad timing. There is a growing conflict between the two countries, and I doubt you can complain to anyone, as there is no legal deadline for application review.

Anonymous participant 202 Last time something like this happened the Thai Embassy in PP was burned down. You are right in thinking they may have other priorities right now.

@Greg *******
get your facts straight, the embassy was burned in 2003, when there was no military conflict at the border, and it was due to some bs news article concerning Amgkor Wat that started a riot. Back then the embassy was less protected and the Cambodian government weaker and less capable to protect Thai consular employees than it is today.

Last time they actually fought was in 2011 at Preah Vihar and many soldiers died on both sides without causing mutual pogroms, or the burning of the embassy in Phnom Penh

Jordan Ptz I know exactly what it was over. I think your comprehension is just piss poor. As for Preah Vihar they have lobbed munitions at each other later than 2011 My pal who was British Ambassador to Cambodia had to postpone a visit due to it. We were just discussing it recently So toddle off and bore someone else.

Participant anonyme 202 relations between countries will change nothing by it’s a Thai ambassy with Thai workers 🥱

you can’t complain to anyone, even if they reject you for no reason and you lose your money

since your application hasn’t been rejected yet you can still hope. Better get an extension for the Cambodian tourist visas

every requested and very submit,do they start waiting day again ?

It is possible that all staff have been diverted to focus on diplomacy, due to the current conflict between the two countries.

I asked the embassy if they are running normally. They responded with “of course we are” I doubt that someone who checks visas has much to do with other diplomatic tasks

- You were able to get ahold of the embassy? The consular section is responsible for both visas and support for Thai nationals in Cambodia. The Thai government banned Thai citizens from crossing the border into Cambodia to work in the casinos and entertainment venues, due to fear for their safety. This issue is something that falls under the consular section. They are probably spending a lot more time information gathering, etc., so they can get Thai nations in Cambodia informed. Furthermore, 95% of visa applicants will be Cambodians. The policy changed last week from 60 day visa exempt to 7 days. This means even more Cambodians now need visas. So, yes, while they might not be involved in high level diplomacy, there are a lot of things going on that impact their section.
