My understanding is that with this you can only load it with foreign currency. Was this your experience also?

Apple Pay and credit cards sadly aren’t accepted everywhere here and if it is then there’s usually a fee.

Sucks how worthless the support stuff is in this country. The place is great but if you have any issues with something that should be a simple fix, it’s takes hours to get them to actually do some critical thinking and figure out a solution that isn’t prescripted for them.

The DC embassy only requires 1 month of proof of funds. I just applied last month and got approved there. Just make sure you list the state on your passport for city of birth (not the city like the application asks for)

When you apply for the visa you have to show proof that you are not in Thailand for this exact reason. Personally I stayed gone because it was not worth risking the $400 and the possibility of having to reapply.

the consultant said they can’t help answer any questions only the immigration officer can and they are only able to be contacted through email. Based on the emails we have sent back and forth they are definitely Thai and do not speak amazing English, so his comment could be valid.

The application for a passport says that yes but on the Passport it only lists the state. The application I am referring to in the post is the one for the Thai DTV visa. Have you ever applied for a DTV Visa? If not your input on the posted subject is just a distraction.

yea it’s just crazy because the answer to the question is the city… not the state that’s listed on my passport. 😒

I just applied for mine but I was being treated at a hospital 2-3 times a week for 3 months before I left to apply for the DTV Visa. I sent the medical certificate that has the treatment plan on it and my future appointment slips to the immigration office at DC before leaving bangkok and they said that was sufficient
