I see. Seems like Taiwan is still doing same day approvals right? I might just apply there then. I’m in Thailand now and was headed back to usa to visit family for a month. Thought I might apply for DTV there. But if they’re taking forever and then adding additional documents like tax returns etc I’m wondering if it might be better just to spend 2-3 nights in Taipei to get it done there ASAP so I have peace of mind

Are you sure it’s minimum 15 days? I saw on their consulate site it said “up to 15 business days.”

Also just had another person confirm they’re asking for tax returns.

In this case maybe I should stop in Taiwan and do it there? Is that would you would advise for speed? Seems like it’s taking only 2-3 days to go through max in Taiwan.

I was thinking that or his friends that apparently tried have issues with their applications… That being said I did see that one person on this group said the Thai embassy in DC requested a tax return but maybe they didn’t provide sufficient proof of income..?
