if you have $54,545 in your Australian bank account or earn $4545 per month you are eligible.

If you meet the financial requirements then you can leave your money in Australia and earn intetest .

To extend the O-A in Thailand you would need to meet the requirments of either 800,000 in a Thai bank account in your name or 65,000 bht transfered every month for 12 months.

My Immigration office out at Roi-Et is great and very helpful.

I have done this process several times without any problem.

Troy Rockwell first you go to immigration and get list of requirements to apply for Non O.

It will include meeting financials and you will need about 3 weeks before your visa/exemption expires.

Each office may require different paperwork and you will need it again for the extension based on retirement/marriage etc
